At this meeting MAGISNAT emphasized the importance of the Mediterranean diet in preventing certain diseases such as those related to the visual system.
Unfortunately, we are witnessing a significant increase in eye diseases due to a polluted environment, unregulated lifestyles and a hectic lifestyle that does not allow for proper nutrition.
It has been shown by Italian and American MAGISNAT professors and researchers that certain natural molecules found in particular foods of the Mediterranean diet have a preventive action toward the onset of some eye diseases.
In fact, it is recommended that we eat little red meat, fish, cereals, green vegetables, dairy products and olive oil, in short, adopt a Mediterranean-type diet, and if it is difficult, proper supplementation for the health of our eyes.
