Among various Special Issue projects, MAGISNAT has carried out one regarding natural molecules and the Mediterranean diet.
This work has been published in the Journal of Preventive Medicine and Hygiene and will also soon be available on the PubMed site.
Numerous professors and researchers collaborated to produce this work, and their contributions were essential.
Interesting issues were discussed.
In the introductory part, due attention was given to the pioneer of Dr. Matteo Bertelli, founder of the innovative MAGISNAT spin-off, Achille Bertelli.
From this figure Dr. Matteo Bertelli took inspiration for the implementation of his important project in the USA.
In the first part of the paper, the topic of the Mediterranean diet was discussed. Its importance and effectiveness was emphasized. All the foods that make it up, their properties and benefits, and the influence that the Mediterranean diet can have with respect to the treatment of particular diseases were described.
As for the second and final part, its focus is the study of natural molecules extracted from the typical vegetables of the Mediterranean diet, their use in the creation of dietary supplements and the benefits of the latter with respect to certain diseases.
An important project featuring natural molecules and the Mediterranean diet with the aim of bringing well-being to the population.
